We are incredibly excited to announce that Sunflower has purchased a new home. We will be moving our offices and programs to Delray Beach in August 2015.

This new location, at 227 N Dixie Blvd. in Delray Beach, will allow Sunflower to blossom into a year-round facility to meet the needs of many more families in our community, as well as further expand our outreach and advocacy efforts. We will open for classes in our new home at the start of the 2015-2016 school year, on Aug. 24.

The Sunflower Creative Arts Board has approved a multi-year $1,000,000 Capital Campaign to pay for the costs associated with purchasing and transforming the house and property, which will include a nature playground- the first of its kind at a learning center in Southeast Florida.

Thanks to our generous donors, we are currently $175,000 away from our first Capital Campaign goal of raising $300,000 by Aug. 1, 2015. The ultimate goal is to pay off the loan that enabled us to purchase the house and operate debt-free by March 20, 2017.

Another view of 227 N Dixie, nestled in nature. Our plans include a nature playground, which would be to the right in this rendering, behind the trees and the white fence.

In the coming months, we’ll share the story behind the special house that is becoming our new home, as well as our plans for programs in the new space.

We look forward to welcoming your family into our home!
